Wiltshire village to star in Sky drama this Christmas

Posted on 28th September 2014

The small village of Biddestone in Wiltshire has recently been graced by a number of TV stars during the filming of a new comedy drama.

Actress Ashley Jensen, who featured in US hit Ugly Betty, Hermione Norris, who starred in Cold Feet, and actor Matthew Horne, who rose to fame after appearing in Gavin and Stacey, have all been spotted in the village.

Those who have visited the village while on cottage holidays in Wiltshire may recognise the setting of Agatha Raisin and the Quiche of Death, which has just been filmed for Sky, and will appear on screens this Christmas. The drama will feature the village heavily, including shots of the green and its surrounding houses, as well as the cottage next to the duck pond.

This isn’t the first time that the village has featured on screen, as it appears in a Hollywood film, The Christmas Candle, which stars Biddestone also.
