Tidworth named UK’s most desirable place to livePosted on 29th August 2014
It’s been revealed that the Wiltshire village of Tidworth is the most desirable place to live in England, fantastic news for the region.
Already a popular visitor spot for those enjoying their Wiltshire cottage holidays throughout the year, Tidworth came out on top in a poll conducted by the Royal Mail in conjunction with the Centre for Economic and Business Research. The poll took into account a variety of parameters, such as employment opportunities, quality of health, homelessness, household overcrowding, education, levels of crime and ease of access to local amenities.
The study was formulated to commemorate the 40th anniversary of the postcode. Other hotspots included Yateley in Hampshire, St Bees in Cumbria and the Cheshire village of Middlewich, finishing in second, third and fourth place respectively.
If you happen to be enjoying a Wiltshire cottage getaway in the coming months, be sure to visit Tidworth and discover exactly why it’s earned such a coveted status.
