New Heritage Trail planned for SalisburyPosted on 13th August 2014
A new heritage trail is set to be created in Salisbury, fantastic news for the thousands of visitors who enjoy the city whilst staying in a Wiltshire holiday cottage nearby.
In what would certainly offer a superb new tourism feature in the city, the new trail is to be created by Salisbury Arts Centre after they were commissioned to create four huge heritage panels that will be erected in the Market Place.
The public consultation was held on Friday (8 August), allowing city residents to meet the artists whilst also following the proposed trail and making notes of any features they spot. Each of the planned panels will focus on a different aspect of the city’s heritage, with one paying homage to the beautiful windows of Salisbury Cathedral.
It is not yet known when the Heritage Trail will be officially unveiled but it is sure to prove a huge success with both the local community as well as those visiting on their holidays.
