More reasons to visit Longleat this ChristmasPosted on 11th December 2013
Longleat Safari and Adventure Park in Wiltshire makes for a great day out at any time of year, but Christmastime at the famed safari park is something extra special. This year staff have worked tirelessly to bring its visitors one of the most spectacular Christmas icons that has ever been seen in the park- a huge 60 foot singing Christmas tree.
Visitors to the park staying at nearby Wiltshire holiday cottages will get to enjoy the 300,000 lights, 3,000 baubles and 24 massive snowflakes that adorn this impressive structure that took a team of 15 people to decorate over three whole days. Using a crane to reach the great heights that the tree reaches, Longleat staff took to this mammoth Christmas decorating task.
The tree is made of 18 individual sections and was created by British craftsmen, making it the only one in existence in Europe. The tree makes for an impressive centrepiece for the festive activities taking place at the park during the day, whilst coming alive at night with light shows, carols and traditional Christmas music at night.
