Latest act announced for Wiltshire Forest Live concertsPosted on 27th February 2014
The respected Scottish band Deacon Blue have been confirmed as the latest act to perform at the Forestry Commission’s Forest Live concert series at Westbonbirt Arboretum this summer.
The band, fronted by Ricky Ross, is to join the likes of Little Mix, Boyzone and Katherine Jenkins, who have all also announced performances.
Visitors staying in nearby Wiltshire holiday properties this summer will be able to catch Deacon Blues’ performance on Saturday 19th July. Their top hits include ‘Real Gone Kid’, ‘When Will You (Make My Telephone Ring)?’, ‘Chocolate Girl’, ‘Wages Day’, ‘Your Town’ and ‘Dignity’. Having released their first album for over decade in 2012, their popularity has been boosted in recent years and the group is set to be a huge draw for visitors to Wiltshire this summer.
The Forest Live concert series is to kick off at Westonbirt with Little Mix on Friday 20th June and will close with a performance by Katherine Jenkins on Sunday 20th July. For tickets and further information, see the Forestry Commission website.
