Right in the centre of Salisbury, yet quietly tucked away at the end of an alleyway that you might easily miss, Garsimtha Cottage is just a few minutes' walk from the St Ann's Gate entrance to the Cathedral Close.
The alleyway adjoins St Ann Street, which is mentioned in Nikolaus Pevsner's 'The Buildings of England', as one of the most interesting in Salisbury outside the Cathedral Close itself. Salisbury is an historic cathedral city founded some 800 years ago and as well as its magnificent 18th century cathedral there are many other historic buildings to discover. The city offers a good range of shops, open air market, pubs, restaurants, a sports & leisure centre and has a renowned annual arts festival.
Built in the 19th century Garsimtha Cottage is perhaps best described as 'bijou'- quite small yet refurbished to an extremely high standard, with very good use made of available interior space. The rooms are arranged on three floors and there is an attractive patio garden in front of the cottage. The top floor bedroom has a view of the Cathedral spire. The Cottage is ideal for a couple but will accommodate up to four people.
