Crop circle could be Wiltshire’s next big attractionPosted on 27th August 2015
A local farmer, who is based near Devizes, is urging people to come and visit an extravagant crop circle that has appeared in one of his fields.
Frank Edwards, a local farmer, is hoping the beautiful circle will attract a bumper crop of visitors, with holidaymakers staying in Devizes-based holiday cottages in Wiltshire and local people being urged to come and visit the site.
All the money raised by people visiting the site will then go to the charity Brighter Futures Appeal, who are raising money for a new radiotherapy unit at the Great Western Hospital in Swindon.
Speaking to the Swindon Advertiser, Mr Edwards, said, “We have had crop circles in our fields lots of times over the years and in the past we have always donated the money to Cancer Research.”
Visitors will be charged £3 per person and it is hoped that hundreds of people will visit the crop circle to raise over £1,000 for the new unit.
People are manning the entrance to the site to ensure that visitors leave a small donation and £200 has already been raised by visitors flocking to see the circle over the weekend.
